Lighting + Film Noir Sensibility

In this series, I explore light through a film noir sensibility. As light changes throughout the day, spaces transform, taking on new atmospheres and emotional qualities. Light has the power to alter our perception of architecture: low, golden light can soften monumental structures and make them feel intimate, while cool overhead light can render the same spaces dramatic, stark, or institutional. Through these shifting conditions, architecture becomes a living presence, continually reshaped by light, shadow, and time. Spaces evolve hour by hour because light itself becomes dynamic architecture. Light creates an emotional atmosphere. Low-angle golden light can make monumental structures feel intimate. Cold overhead light can feel institutional or dramatic.
