This body of work examines how light transforms architecture into psychological space. Drawing on the visual language of film noir – dramatic contrast, shifting mood, emotional tension – I photograph civic and institutional buildings under changing natural light. The same structure can feel intimate under golden hour warmth or imposing under cool midday glare. These aren't static documents of place. They're studies in how atmosphere shapes our relationship to power, scale, and belonging. Architecture becomes a living presence, continually redefined by light, shadow, and time.
